Gillian started with Trilby Misso Lawyers over 4 years ago while studying as a Law student. She started working for the Firm as a Junior Secretary and quickly moved her way through the Talent Path Program as a Secretary, Paralegal and Managing Law Clerk. Gillian was then admitted as a Lawyer in December 2008 and has since proven herself to be a valuable member of Trilby Misso. Gillian now has a team of 3 reporting to her.

Even at the very early stages of my time here senior staff and management took the time to mentor me, so by the time I was admitted as a solicitor I had a great grassroots knowledge of the firm and the confidence to run a successful team. There has always been exciting opportunities available to me, and the training that was provided has meant I can jump at those opportunities.
  • I started at Trilby Misso in March 2008, working part-time while studying full-time towards a Bachelor of Law / Bachelor of Business at QUT. After I graduated in December 2009, I was unsure about what I wanted to do, but was fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to continue working at the firm to find out. Now I can happily say that there is no other place that I would rather be than at Trilby Misso! The atmosphere is relaxed, the people are friendly, and there are plenty of opportunities for career progression. In my role I am given the autonomy to manage my own files, however, I also have the support of a team and a mentor who are approachable and always more than happy to help. But for me, it is the wide range of people that I deal with on a daily basis that keeps my life at Trilby challenging and interesting.
